In short: Settings → Maia Settings → WhatsApp → Buy Number or My Number. Then Voice → Turn on voice.
Maia is your AI account director. On WhatsApp she can message your clients and reply to them. With Voice on, callers who dial her number reach her by phone.
Both need the Maia add-on. Then you make one choice: a new number bought through Protaigé, or your own existing number. A new number gives you WhatsApp and Voice. Your own number gives you WhatsApp only.
Get the add-on first
Open Settings, then the Maia Settings tab. If the WhatsApp section is missing, the Maia's channels card at the top offers the add-on. Buy it. One purchase covers email, Slack and WhatsApp for this brand.
Choose Buy Number or My Number
Scroll to the WhatsApp section. Choose Buy Number for a new work number with Voice included. Choose My Number to connect the WhatsApp number you already have. Voice is not available on your own number.
Buy a new number
Pick a country and press Search. Press Activate next to the number you want. Confirm with Get number. When you see WhatsApp is ready, the number is connected. The add-on covers the number. There is no extra charge.
Or connect your own number
On My Number, choose the country and enter your WhatsApp number. Press Connect WhatsApp. A six-digit code arrives on WhatsApp. Enter it and press Verify and Connect. If you later want calls too, release this number and buy a new one instead.
Turn on Voice
Scroll to the Voice section. Press Turn on voice. Callers who dial Maia's WhatsApp number now reach her. She answers live, finds out who is calling and what they need, and follows up. Voice needs a number bought through Protaigé, and it is not in the add-on on every plan. If the Voice section is missing, check the add-on dialog for your plan.
Turn off or release
Press Turn off WhatsApp to pause messages and calls. The number stays yours. Press Turn on WhatsApp to start again. Press Release Number only when you are sure. A released number is gone for good. Voice has its own switch, so Maia can be on WhatsApp without answering calls.
WhatsApp messages count against the same message bundle as email and Slack. Sent and received both count. The card at the top of Maia Settings shows what you have used.
