In short: Select a clip, then Fill and Video in the left inspector for crop, trim, volume and speed.
The timeline holds your clips, audio and text over time. Selecting a clip fills the left inspector with its properties, and the ones specific to footage sit together under Fill, then Video.
Trim a clip
Under Fill then Video, trim gives you handles to set where a clip starts and ends without cutting the source. Crop sits beside it.
Set the speed
Playback speed changes the pace of a clip, which is often a better fix than trimming when something feels slow.
Control volume
Volume is per element, so a background track and a voiceover are balanced against each other rather than globally.
Add animations
Animations apply to elements, so text and images can move independently of the footage.
Add a clip
Add Clip pulls from your images and video libraries, so stills and footage can sit on the same track.
Page duration fits itself to the content, between one and thirty seconds, so the video is as long as what is on the timeline.
