In short: Settings, then Maia settings, then move the Communication Style sliders and save.
Maia should not sound like a generic AI assistant. She should sound the way you would want someone representing your brand to sound, whether that is tight and formal or warm and playful.
Whatever you set here applies everywhere she appears, so you only have to decide once.
Open Maia settings
Go to Settings and choose the Maia settings tab. The Communication Style section is where the five dials live.
Set the five dials
Verbosity runs from detailed to concise. Tone runs from serious to playful. Style runs from chatty, which builds rapport first, to direct, which leads with the answer. Creativity runs from safe to bold. Data runs from metrics, which leans on numbers, to narrative, which tells the story first. Every dial starts in the middle, so move only the ones you care about and leave the rest alone.
Save and she changes immediately
Moving any dial wakes up Save changes. Once saved, Maia picks up the new style on her very next message, with no reload needed.
While you are there, check Approvals
The same tab decides when she asks before acting and when she just gets on with it. The default is to ask. You can let her launch Autopilot without checking first, or publish and post externally on her own, each as its own toggle.
These settings are global, so they shape how Maia sounds across email, Slack, WhatsApp, voice and her chat in the app, all at once.
