In short: Import rarely lands perfectly. The editor is where you finish it.

An import gets you most of the way. Fine-tuning is where you decide what can move, what cannot, and how things behave when the format changes.

1

Confirm what is editable

Anything a campaign needs to change must be a placeholder. Anything that should never move should be locked.

2

Set the constraints

Fix logo position, restrict colours to your brand settings, and let headlines shift within bounds rather than overflowing.

3

Test the extremes

Check the narrowest and widest formats you will use. That is where layouts break, and where good fallbacks pay off.

A kit that behaves at the extremes will behave everywhere in between.
