In short: Check the title top centre. It tells you which editor you are in.
There are three editing surfaces, and they are deliberately not the same. The title in the navigation bar tells you which one you have open.
Key Visual Editor
Opened from a campaign group. This is where you design the parent that everything else is generated from. It has two actions in the bar: Save Draft, and Generate Banners, which propagates your design across the kit.
Creative Editor
Opened on a single banner. Same tools, one output, and a single Save. Use it when you want to fix one asset rather than regenerate a set.
The video editor
Opened for campaign video. It adds a timeline, video and audio libraries, and the Animate and Export buttons. Page size is fixed here to the key visual's dimensions, so there is no resize.
The tools follow the surface
If an option is missing, it is usually because that surface does not offer it rather than because it is hidden. Captions and trimming only exist in video; Generate Banners only exists on a key visual.
The video editor's header carries no title, so identify it by what is there instead: a timeline along the bottom, and Animate and Export beside Save.
