In short: Filters are separate from Adjustments. Correct first, then style.

Filters are the styling layer, and they sit apart from adjustments deliberately. Correct the image first, then decide how it should feel.

Every filter has an intensity slider, which is the difference between a look and a costume.

1

Colour grades

One grid, not grouped, so it is worth scrolling past the first few rather than looking for a heading that fits the mood you want. Dozens of presets ship, from black and white through retro and analog to winter and summer.

2

Duotone

Maps the image to two colours, light and dark. Eight presets ship, and it is the fastest way to make disparate photography look like one campaign.

3

Always pull the intensity back

Filters at full strength are why stock photography looks filtered. Half is usually plenty.

A duotone in your brand colours is a reliable way to unify a set of images that were never shot together.
