In short: Flicks → the film form → brief, then look and footage. Pick one of five looks and add up to four clips.
A brief tells Flicks what your film is about. Two more inputs on the film form tell it how the film should feel, and what to make it from. Pick a look, and upload clips you have already shot.
Flicks is available to workspaces that have Flicks switched on.
Pick the look you want
The look sets the approach Flicks takes to the whole film. Choose one of five: editorial, kinetic, documentary, graphic or playful. Leave the look unset and Protaigé picks the one that fits your brief.
Add your own clips
If you already have footage, the film can be built from it instead of only from designed frames. Add up to four clips to the film form. Each clip must be an MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V file, under 100 MB.
Check what was accepted
Each clip you add appears in the list on the form with its file name. A file that is not MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V is refused, and so is one over 100 MB. An empty file is refused too, so re-export it and try again.
Remove a clip you changed your mind about
Remove any clip from the form before you start the film. It is cleared from your workspace straight away, and the film is made without it.
Start the film
Press the button that starts the film. Your look and your clips travel with it, and Flicks uses them from the first stage. You can combine your own footage with a brief in the same film.
Clips stay with the film you made them for. Delete the film and its clips go with it. A clip you uploaded but never used is cleared on its own after a while.
