How to use the conversational brief builder to shape a campaign idea into a structured brief
Brief Co-Creation is the conversational way to build a campaign brief in Protaigé. Instead of filling out a form, you chat with David, your AI strategy agent, who guides you through everything he needs to know - then builds your brief for you.
This tutorial shows you how the co-creation flow works.
Starting a conversation
You can launch Brief Co-Creation from two places:
- The Brainstorm a Campaign card in the Lobby under Campaign Central
- The New Campaign button on the Campaigns page, then selecting Co-Create
When the chat opens, David introduces himself and asks about your campaign. There's no rigid order to follow - just tell him what you have in mind, even if it's rough.
What David asks about
David works through your brief conversationally, covering the essentials:
Area | What David needs |
Campaign basics | What you're promoting and what you want to achieve |
Audience & geography | Who you're targeting and where they are |
Market context | Campaign name and positioning |
Promo & channels | Any offers, timeline, budget, or channel preferences |
You don't need to have all the answers. David will work with whatever you give him and fill in gaps where he can based on your brand's existing DNA.
Attaching files
Got a document that explains what you need? You can attach files directly in the chat. David will read through them and extract relevant information for your brief.
Creating the brief
Once David has enough information, he'll offer to create your campaign brief. You can also click Create Brief Now at any point if you're ready to go.
When the brief is created, Protaigé automatically generates your campaign and takes you to the Campaign Detail page where you can review the brief and start the creative workflow.
Closing the chat
If you close the chat window before creating a brief, you'll be taken back to the Campaigns dashboard. Your conversation isn't saved, so make sure you're happy with the brief before closing.
Tip: David already knows your brand. He has access to your Brand Story, products, and personas, so you don't need to repeat information that's already in your Brand DNA.
